Provo River Fishing Report: Blue Wing Olive Hatch

Lower Provo River (Below Deer Creek)

Spring fly fishing on the Provo River is in full swing. River flows are low and clarity is gin clear. We are fishing mainly in-line rigs to start the day and switching over to dries around 1pm. Trout are keying in on the Blue Wing Olive hatch between the hours of 1-4pm. The quantity and quality of fish feeding off the surface are aggressive powerful rainbow and brown trout. Best of day is from 11am – 4pm. Most success will come on the nymph in the morning on small bugs, thin tippet and longer leaders. We look forward to showing you a great fly fishing experience on the Provo River
