Lower Provo (Below Deer Creek)

Provo River Blue Wing Olive MayflyWith the warmer temps lately the Provo River has started fishing well.  The early morning hrs of fishing have been okay but once 10:30am hits its on.  Seeing a lot of fish holding in the softer deeper water eating both the nymph and dry.  If fishing the dry, fish a size 20-18 Buffalo Midge.  There are good size trout eating off the surface.  The baetis hatch will start coming into full effect as we starting moving further in to March.  We are looking forward to enjoying  Spring time fishing and a lot of good memories.  Please be respectful of other anglers and land owners.   See you on the River.

Streamflow: 100 CFS

Primary Hatch: BWO’s (#16 – #22) Midge (#16 – #20) Sow Bugs (#16 – #20) Baetis (#16 – #20)
