Utah Fly Fishing – Provo River Fall Fishing

Lower Provo (Below Deer Creek)

It’s beautiful time of the year to be fly fishing in Utah.  With the leafs changing colors and the rivers levels starting to come down,  fishing conditions are great.  As we start approaching the early part of November we will begin to witness more and more REDDS as the Browns start staging for their spawn.  Please keep a good eye on where you are wading to prevent stepping on any spawning Redds.  Now that the Provo River is running much lower, its allowing wade fishing to be easier and sight fishing a lot of fun.   The upper reaches of both sections of the lower and middle Provo River are producing nice size fish.  Still a bit of moss on the lower so focus on fishing water that is faster and deep.  See you on the river and be safe.
